Just a quick little post to tell you about my current favourite flavour of smoothie. Last week I went to Green Leaf Café to grab a wrap for lunch. It was my first time at the café, so I had been unaware that they also serve delicious smoothies. Since I’m on a blueberry kick right now, I was intrigued by the blueberry banana smoothie. It was delicious! Who knew blueberries and bananas could be so tasty when blended together! :) This past weekend I tried to re-create the blueberry and banana smoothie with some pretty successful results.
Here’s how I made it :) I recommend that you make one ASAP. *hehe*
- 1/2 cup of fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt
- 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries (frozen could work too!)
- 1 whole banana; chopped
- 3/4 cup of raspberry-cranberry cocktail
Blend all ingredients together in a blender. For a thicker smoothie, add 1 cup of ice. Note: I find it easier to use a thick plastic jar and a hand immersion blender to make my smoothies. Much quicker clean up! :)
